My vehicle’s been written off after a claim. What do I do next?

If your vehicle has been declared a total loss after a claim, you have two options.

If you’re replacing the vehicle following the accident, you can change your vehicle via Your Aviva Motor account when you log in to MyAviva.

If you’re not intending to buy a new vehicle, you’ll need to cancel your policy. Please refer to your policy booklet for more information on any associated cancellation fees and details of when you will not receive a refund of premium, and all premiums will be due, if you cancel your policy and a claim has been made.

If it's beyond repair, we'll agree a value for it with you and send you a settlement cheque. If your car’s under a year old and you're the first owner, we may be able to provide you with a replacement car.

And if your Aviva Online or Aviva Premium policy includes hire car cover, we'll provide a hire car for up to 21 days or until your claim settlement has been agreed, whichever is earlier.
