What does Motor Legal cover include?

This cover is included as standard in Aviva Premium cover and is an optional cover for Aviva Online customers, it provides expert support when you need it most:

• If you’re involved in a motor accident which isn’t your fault, we’ll cover up to £100,000 in legal costs for a lawyer to pursue compensation from the driver who is to blame (for example to cover personal injury, your excess or travel expenses). We’ll also pay your legal costs should your claim not be successful. The lawyer will discuss your case with you and represent you if it’s more likely than not that you’ll be successful.
• Up to £10,000 legal costs for a lawyer to defend you if you’re being prosecuted for a motoring offence, such as a speeding fine.

Aviva Online customers can add Motor Legal cover by following these steps:

1. Log in to MyAviva
2. Select Aviva Motor, and then choose Details.
3. Scroll down to the My policies section.
4. Find the policy you wish to update and select Make a change.
5. Go to Change or add cover.
6. Select Motor Legal services and continue to make payment.

An Aviva Premium policy includes Motor Legal cover as standard.
