If you forgot to cancel your policy before it auto-renewed and now want to cancel it, here’s how:
Please keep in mind our cancellation fees will apply.
If you don’t wish to continue with the insurance from renewal, you may cancel the policy and you’ll receive a full refund if the insurance cover has not yet renewed but the premium has been collected. However, if the insurance cover has renewed and you cancel in the first 14 days following renewal, your refund of premium will be subject to a proportionate deduction for the time we’ve covered you for and a cancellation charge of £25 (plus Insurance Premium Tax where applicable). If you cancel after 14 days from the renewal date, the cancellation charge will be £50 (plus Insurance Premium Tax where applicable).
If you cancel in the same period of insurance that a claim has been made, and we have not been able to confirm full recovery of the costs of the claim from a responsible third party, you will not receive a refund of premium and all premiums will be due. In these circumstances, you will not be charged a cancellation fee.
For your cancellation rights outside the statutory 14-day cooling-off period, please refer to the General Conditions of your motor policy booklet.
