How can I change my automatic renewal preference?

Some people forget to renew their motor insurance which means they may accidentally drive without insurance which is illegal. To help our customers avoid this problem, we give them the option of buying our motor insurance policy on an automatic renewal basis. This means that if your personal details haven’t changed and you do want your policy to renew, then you don’t need to do anything.

You can change your automatic renewal preference in your Aviva Motor account. To do this:

1. Log in to MyAviva
2. Select your Aviva Motor policy, then choose Details.
3. Scroll down to the My policies section.
4. Find the insurance policy you wish to change and select Make a change.
5. Select Change automatic renewal.

If you are currently in the 28-day renewal cycle and you are using a continuous payment method but you do not want to renew, you can cancel your renewal in your Aviva Motor account. To do this:

1. Log in to MyAviva.
2. Select your Aviva Motor policy, then choose Details.
3. Scroll down to the My renewals section.
4. Choose Cancel renewal.
