We’ll cover your computer at home as standard for loss or damage as a result of insured events listed here.
Aviva Premium includes contents accidental damage cover as standard, and this provides accidental damage cover for your computer equipment, including those items designed to be portable, at home.
Aviva Online does not include any contents accidental damage cover as standard, but you can add contents accidental damage cover to your policy.
Depending on when you purchased your Aviva Online policy, you will have the option to add the below, for additional cost:
- Contents accidental damage cover, OR
- you will have a choice between:
- Limited contents accidental damage cover, OR
- Extra contents accidental damage cover
If you have selected Contents accidental damage cover or Extra contents accidental damage cover, then your policy will include cover for accidental damage to your computer equipment, including those items designed to be portable, at home.
If you have an Aviva Online policy with Limited contents accidental damage cover, you will only be covered for accidental damage to non-portable computer equipment, at home.
If you already have an Aviva Online policy, your schedule will show the accidental damage options that are available.
We don’t cover damage caused by a fault or breakdown or poor design or workmanship. Damage caused by chewing, scratching or fouling by domestic animals is also not covered.
If you wish to have cover for portable computers (laptops, tablets etc.) away from the home you will need to take out personal belongings cover. This section will provide cover for loss or damage in and away from the home anywhere in the world.
