How can I stop auto-renewal?

Some people forget to renew their home insurance which means they may accidentally be without insurance. To help our customers avoid this problem, we give them the option of buying our home insurance policy on an auto-renewal basis. This means that if your personal details haven’t changed, you don’t need to do anything.

You can opt out of auto-renewal in your Aviva Motor account. To do this:

  1. Log in to MyAviva.
  2. Select your Aviva Home policy, then choose Details.
  3. Scroll down to the My policies section.
  4. Find the insurance policy you wish to change and select "Change auto-renewal".

If you are currently in the 28-day renewal cycle and you are using a continuous payment method but you do not want to renew, you can cancel your renewal in your Aviva Motor account. To do this:

  1. Log in to MyAviva.
  2. Select your Aviva Home policy, then choose Details.
  3. Scroll down to the My renewals section.
  4. Choose Cancel renewal.
