Aviva Premium includes contents accidental damage cover as standard – see your policy schedule for details.
Aviva Online does not include any contents accidental damage cover as standard, but you can add contents accidental damage cover to your policy.
Depending on when you purchased your Aviva Online policy, you will have the option to add the below, for additional cost:
- Contents accidental damage cover, OR
- you will have a choice between:
- Limited contents accidental damage cover, OR
- Extra contents accidental damage cover
If you already have an Aviva Online policy, your schedule will show the accidental damage options that are available.
If you have the option of Limited contents accidental damage cover, you will be insured against accidental damage to:
- Non-portable home entertainment & computer equipment
- Aerials, satellite dishes and CCTV cameras fixed to the home
- Mirrors and fixed glass in furniture.
If you have the option of Contents accidental damage or Extra contents accidental damage cover, you will be insured against accidental damage to most contents (exceptions include food and damage caused by the process of cleaning, washing or repairing an item).
We don’t cover damage caused by a fault or breakdown or poor design or workmanship. Damage caused by chewing, scratching or fouling by domestic animals is also not covered.
