We’ll cover your mobile phone for standard risks under our contents cover for within the home.
Aviva Premium includes contents accidental damage cover as standard, and this provides accidental damage cover for your mobile phone in the home – see your policy schedule for details.
Aviva Online does not include any contents accidental damage cover as standard, but you can add contents accidental damage cover to your policy.
Depending on when you purchased your Aviva Online policy, you will have the option to add the below, for additional cost:
- Contents accidental damage cover, OR
- you will have a choice between:
- Limited contents accidental damage cover, OR
- Extra contents accidental damage cover
If you have selected Contents accidental damage cover or Extra contents accidental damage cover, then your policy will include cover for accidental damage to your mobile phone in the home.
If you have an Aviva Online policy with Limited contents accidental damage cover, you will not be covered for accidental damage to your mobile phone.
If you already have an Aviva Online policy, your schedule will show the accidental damage options that are available.
We don’t cover damage caused by a fault or breakdown or poor design or workmanship. Damage caused by chewing, scratching or fouling by domestic animals is also not covered.
If you need cover away from the home you’ll need to add personal belongings cover. To find out how to add extra cover, just click here.
If the value of your mobile phone exceeds the single article limit for personal belongings cover, you’ll need to specify this as a valuable on your policy.
